Bring a striking display of rich red flower spikes to your garden with these Lupin Legendary Red perennial plants. Part of the popular Legendary series, these lupins have been bred for a compact, sturdy habit and produce densely packed spires of vibrant red blooms throughout the summer months. A favourite among pollinators, they are ideal for adding height, colour and wildlife value to borders, cottage gardens and containers.
Each set includes three established plants supplied in 1 litre pots, ready for planting out into beds, borders or larger patio containers. As fully hardy herbaceous perennials, they will die back in autumn and return reliably each spring with fresh new growth.
What's Included:
\n- \n
- 3 or 6 x Lupin Legendary Red plants, each supplied in a 1 litre pot \n
Key Features:
\n- \n
- Vibrant red flower spikes throughout summer \n
- Compact, sturdy growth habit with strong stems \n
- Fully hardy – returns year after year \n
- Excellent for attracting bees and butterflies \n
- Well suited to borders, cottage gardens and containers \n
Planting and Care:
\nPlant in a position that receives full sun to partial shade in well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil. Lupins prefer soil that does not sit waterlogged, and they tend to perform less well on very chalky or alkaline ground. Deadhead spent flower spikes promptly to encourage a second flush of blooms later in the season. A light mulch around the base in autumn helps protect the crown over winter.
