Set of 3 or 6 Geum Lady Stratheden Hardy Perennial Plants, Yellow Summer Flowering, Bee Friendly Cottage Garden Plants, Outdoor Garden Ready, 1 Litre Root-Ball
£20.99
Unit price / perEstimated delivery between June 15 and June 17.
Geum 'Lady Stratheden' is a much-loved cottage garden classic, prized for its warm, semi-double golden-yellow flowers that appear in abundance from early summer through to early autumn. This clump-forming hardy perennial produces elegant, slightly ruffled blooms held on slender, wiry stems above attractive rosettes of fresh green foliage. A recipient of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit, Lady Stratheden is a reliable and rewarding addition to any garden.
Ideal for sunny borders, cottage-style plantings, and containers, this variety is also a wonderful cut flower, bringing a splash of sunshine indoors. The nectar-rich blooms are highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinating insects, making it a valuable choice for wildlife-friendly gardens.
This set includes three well-established plants, each supplied in a 1 litre pot, ready for planting out into beds, borders, or patio containers. Plant in groups for a stunning drift of golden colour throughout the summer months.
Growing Conditions
Geum 'Lady Stratheden' thrives in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in a position that receives full sun to partial shade. Avoid waterlogged conditions, particularly over winter, as this can cause the crown to rot. Deadheading spent flowers regularly will encourage a prolonged flowering display. In autumn, tidy back any tired foliage and apply a light mulch around the base of the plant to protect the crown during colder months. Clumps can be divided every few years in spring to maintain vigour and increase your stock.
