1 Ceanothus Cool Blue Plant, Hardy Blue Flowering Evergreen Shrub, California Lilac, 3 Litre Root Ball
£21.99
Unit price / perEstimated delivery between June 15 and June 17.
Ceanothus 'Cool Blue' is a stunning compact evergreen shrub, commonly known as California Lilac, prized for its profusion of rich blue flower clusters that smother the plant in late spring and early summer. With its neat, bushy habit and small, glossy dark green leaves, this hardy shrub provides year-round structure and interest in the garden. When in full bloom, it creates a striking display that is highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects.
Supplied in a 3 litre pot, this plant is well-established and ready for planting out in borders, against sunny walls, or in large containers on a sheltered patio.
Key Features:
- Masses of vivid blue flower clusters in late spring and early summer
- Compact, bushy evergreen habit with glossy dark green foliage
- Ideal for sunny borders, wall-side planting or large containers
- Highly attractive to bees, butterflies and pollinators
- Low maintenance once established
- Supplied in a 3 litre pot, well-rooted and ready to plant
Planting and Care:
Plant in a sunny, sheltered position in well-drained soil. Ceanothus 'Cool Blue' thrives in lighter soils and does not enjoy heavy, waterlogged conditions. A south or west-facing wall or fence provides ideal protection from cold, drying winds. Water regularly during the first growing season to help the root system establish. Once settled, this shrub is fairly drought-tolerant. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape – avoid cutting back into old wood.
